Specific course information

We have marked the start, check points and finish with a suggested course. From the gondola head towards the bottom of the quad chair which is straightforward to follow to the top. From the top of the quad chair, it is normally best to hug the ski fences to the top of the goose t-bar - it may be tempting to cut the corners but you'll probably end up in the islands of rocks. When you get to the top of the goose t-bar, enjoy the ski to the bottom before skinning back to the top. From the top of the goose bar, head to the snow fences (there is a weather mast that is obvious about 100m up the fence that is a good marker) and follow the fence to the top of the summit button. You now have many choices to enter the back corries for Coire Dubh but normally the easiest option is wingers wall. If you are unsure about this it may be worth speaking to ski patrol and seeing what they suggest. From the bottom of the braveheart you are now heading for the bottom of the rob roy t-bar. It may be tempting to try and traverse around the hill but it is definitely worth skinning back up to reach pin ball alley and then enjoy the ski down. It's then one more uphill skin to the top of the Alpha button and then back to the Gondola. The finish point hasn't got to be the same as the start - use your common sense here since it's normally busy so stop when you think it's appropriate.

For this course, it might be worth chatting to ski patrol so that they are aware you are skinning up the goose.
